I don't think your problem is that you keep looking for the right one. Your problem seems to be that you have difficulty recognizing the right one - or more specific to your post, recognizing the WRONG ones.
But there's no formula for it and I don't think I know anyone who hasn't made some pretty painful mistakes in that along the way.
Ask yourself this...
Q: How many times now have I fallen for someone that's hurt me?
Q: Were there red flags any and/or all of those times.
Q: Will I ignore those red flags next time?
After you've answered those questions, things may get a little clearer. Good luck.

No one is as perfect as they make out to be. The best you can do before you spend time with someone is try to figure out what things you will probably like about your prospective date in terms of common interests. The things you're not going to like aren't going to be things that will be advertised. You'll just have to find that out as you go along. Screen them based on how much you think you'll have in common. In my opinion, that's about as good as you'll be able to do.

Sweetpea, you are only 19 - please don't give up just yet!!! As GardenHackle said, perhaps you need to look at why you are getting hurt over and over. Could it be that you're making bad choices? Could it be that you're ignoring warning signs? We live and we love, we get hurt, and we learn from our mistakes. Try to ask yourself a few pointed questions, and hopefully you will learn from the answers and make better choices next time. Good luck!

We all get hurt sometimes but that's how you get life experiences.
What ever relationships you had before surely there had to be good times you can value. Don't regret your past but learn from it.
The point that you are here as all of us are to find that special person. You are doing the right thing if that is what you want.
This site has good advantages as it does disadvantages so be smart. Take it slow and let your own instinct tell you what to do.
Sometimes it is hard to find the right apple in a bunch but only taking the risk cautiously can get you there.
You can also make friends here, share experiences openly or privately with someone it is up to you.
I wish you luck; remember being loved as you can too is a beautiful thing.
