A book on how to survive alone on an island. Because I would need one. The closest I come to roughing it is when my favorite hotel is booked and I have to stay at a Holiday Inn laugh

My book of choice would be Freedom by William Safire.
It is a fascinating read about Abraham Lincoln and the civil war in the US. This book is based on actual documents of the time including letters, newspaper accounts and the personal diaries of some of the major players involved.
