it anoys me when men put down single mothers after all they do bringing up the child feeding clothing expences it not easy for them and when they ask for help the farthers dont want to know and sod of some where else and go and make another one whom they look after but forget the first one they had so i can understand ladys being angry sometimes not all men are the same some are great dads and fair play to them iam a single dad of 3 i have joint custody and they come first in my life and its great fun watching them grow up the point i am trying to make is just because a lady is a single mom we must treat them with no diffrence to a single lady after all its not the childs fault he is in the world but if we date a single mom and take on the child then they will respect you more in life i brought someone elses child up for 21 years but to me he is my son and allways will be so lads remeber a dad is not for a day its for life so single ladys do have a hard job deciding who comes into there life .
Thought maybe it was only this country that had that problem. There are women who are guilty too. Sad but life goes on. Thankful to my father for always being there for me. He affected my life in a very positive way.

More men should take responsibility Ricky. It's a problem too prevelent in our society. Good on ya for being a great and responsible father. You should feel proud.
Kudos to you Coolricky... and to all the dads who support, love, visit and spend time with their kiddies.
I know it must be incredibly difficult to only have your kiddies on particular days and not get to be as involved as you'd love to be.
I honestly feel very sorry for the Dads who walk away. They are loosing so much. My heart breaks for those parents who are fighting to see their children and surrounded by animosity at every turn.

Wow what a breath of fresh air what you said is so true most men don't understand how it is for the woman and the child so good on ya for what you've said just wish more absent fathers could read this.

I was always there for my kid, she even spent the weekends with me and parts of the school holidays, then one day she decided that she would rather live with me than go back to her mothers, so for the last year I have been a single dad? Sure my work load has doubled but the time spent with the kid more than makes up for it, I think single parents do a remarkable job, especially if they have a fulltime job as well?
Our kids are only kids for so long! So do your best now as they wont forget it!
