Does any one else get insomnia? Katt and have had it on and off since we were both little. Trust me if you haven't had it you don't want it.
On the nights I don't sleep I'm fighting to stay awake all the nest day until I get home. When Katt can't sleep I'm wondering all day if she will fall asleep at the wheel or get distracted from being tired and get into a wreck.
Has anyone else got the need to b!tch about lack of sleep or have I bored you all into ?

Wow I must be really lucky I sleep like a baby, always have, 7-8 hours a night, no problem (even if I squeeze in the odd nanna nap occasionally on my day off )
I work in the bedding/sleep industry and it's alarming how many people have trouble sleeping.
No wonder there's so much road rage, queue rage and so on, half those people are probably sleep-deprived

Tried the tea, warm milk, hot bath none work reliably. I'm not wild about taking any sleep meds. I think there ia vitamin that is supposed to help. One of the B Complex maybe.
There are some hypnosis CDs on the market - that helped me in the past.
Nowadays I fall asleep with either one of the three Twilight movies in the background - they're somehow soothing. No idea why that works, it just does...

Most B vitamins are for energy and alertness. Take B12 for example, it's used in almost every energy drink out there today.
I'm heavily dependant on sleep aids, mostly herbal (and not the roll'em up and pass to the left kind). There are natural remadies on the market that target the production of the chemicals that tell your body it's time to sleep, temporarily increase that production and allow for a natural sleep cycle to occur. As of yet the FDA has not approved any such drug that would allow that chemical imbalance to be restored over time with a decreased need for the drugs use.
Drug companies just have to much intrest in repeat sales I think.

What are some of the natural cures that work for you?
I tried to go to bed and could not sleep. Katt started talking to me and I assumed she could not sleep either.
We talked for about 5 minutes then she started talking about something that did not make sense and I realized she was just talking in her sleep. She would not believe me that she was asleep and said she was going to get her mother to prove she was awake.
She started to snore a little then so I won that argument.

StillOfTheNight: Insomnia is my old buddy who will just not leave
The sort that tells us long pointless stories and likes to watch advertising shows on TV at night.
When we were in Colorado I saw this half hour advertisement for some kitchen gadget about a hundred times. I kept watching though because I was afraid if I watched anything new I'd get interested and stay awake to watch.
