demonfairy: A good friend of mine wrote me asking,How can i find some one to love?No one will want me with my health problems.I don't get around as well as i used to,but i still want someone to love.I don't want to spend my last years alone.
It broke my heart to hear her talk like this.I told her a lot of people had health problems,more so with age.Not to worry,they could help each other get threw any thing.That she would fine love,even with health issues.Would you be willing to commit to a person that wasn't 100% healthy?

In all honesty, as far as myself, I would say it would depend on what exactly their health problem was. There are some things I could cope with more so than I could with others.

Once people hit their 50's health problems start cropping up.
I'm not in perfect health and really don't know too many that are.
It might be a problem for those "who will not settle".

I have not always been 100% healthy. I am fine now (I think) though nothing is guaranteed for any of us, is it?
Despite that, I have a fella who loves me and is wonderful.
I'm not denying its not hard, it is. Not everyone has the steadfast resolve to deal with potential ill-health issues, it will definitely take the "right person".
Tell your friend that even when it seems totally hopeless..... you just never know - truly! It was the last thing I expected. It doesn't mean I am any less a worthy person, it just takes an enlightened man, with insight, a positive outlook on the future we could have together, and a little more about him, to see what someone truly has to offer?
Good luck to her.... her time WILL come! And give her these from me? ----->

Since I get all my dates from nursing homes and senior assisted living communities, I would have to state that...yes, I would be willing to commit to a person that is not 100% healthy.
None of us are getting any younger and many of us just can't stand to be reminded of our mortality. So, I think that some people would have a problem with dating someone who has health problems, especially if they are severe.
I, do however, draw the line at dating people with STDs, for obvious reasons.

It makes you think,we all could get sick tomorrow.Would the person you love, that says they love you still stay around and help you threw it,or would they pick up and leave for some one else.Me i would stay,some want,that's life,its about ones personality i guess.

I speak from experience, as not so long ago i came home from my intendeds, to find a misdiagnosed case of pneumonia, and 5 days later had double lung failure!
I'm fine now, but the week before i was sat on a beach feeling tired eating icecream, and the following sunday throwing up blood.
There fore the grace of god etc etc.
Hopefully, touch wood i won't have any health problems again, as that case of being misdiagnosed very nearly killed me! Thanks doc!!

I'm sorry to say that there is one form of illness that I could not live with - severe mental illness.
I have seen the devastation it causes and while I sympathise with sufferers (who are not to blame for there illness) I just know that I could not live with someone who suffers from it severely.
Any other illness can be dealt with.
