darren9030: Also slow for me. Funny thing is when i saw 'lag' it reminded me of a game we used to play at school where 2 people would throw a coin against the wall & whoever's coin ended up closest to the wall kept them both. No idea why it was called lag but it was & it was good fun especially for the winner

We called it 'pitch and toss'. Whoever was closest to the wall gathered all the coins, tossed them and made a call, keeping the one's that came up.

I was thinking at cs's end of the pipe. most home connections would not be affected by a slowdown at cs unless your doing large file downloads.

This is why CS has periodic difficulties.

Helpful hint:
Bandwidth..
for non techys..
how many (much) traffic a web-site can handle..
Has NOTHING to do with YOUR "bandwidth"...
it is the bandwidth of the site/domain/web-address..
every person connected to CS..
every link (like photo/song/vide0, etc,
utilize a part of that bandwidth..
so at a peak, or overload, or whatever..
BINGO... lag, slowdown, maybe eveb crash..
kinda like the straw that broke the camel's back..professor

here is a REAL hint..blushing
if you get caught up here or ANYwhere with
a lag or overload and your browser turns
turtle slow when trying to access the site..
go to a search engine like google..
search connecting singles..
then click on ANY connecting singles link
EXCEPT the "log in " link..
then from the other CS site go to "log in"..
You will avoid the bottle neck by utilizing
a portal provide by the search engine instead of
being on the "waiting list (so to speak) waiting
for "reply" to CS regular link..
yous are welcome..handshake

I first thought it was my internet connection so I unplugged my router for a few minutes and then hot booted my computer thinking that might fix it but after 4 attempts I gave up.

What you say about the bandwith is true.
