Al Gore's 'Inconvenient Truth'? -- $30,000 utility bill
Back home in Tennessee, safely ensconced in his suburban Nashville home, ex-Vice President Al Gore is no doubt basking in the Oscar awarded to "An Inconvenient Truth," the documentary he inspired and in which he starred. But a local free-market think tank is trying to make that very home emblematic of what it deems Gore's environmental hypocrisy.
Armed with Gore's utility bills for the last two years, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research charged Monday that the gas and electric bills for the former vice president's 20-room home and pool house devoured nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours in 2006, more than 20 times the national average of 10,656 kilowatt-hours

I agree totally that Gore is a liar and a hypocrite, hyping up a global scam that (even though it was rejected by many countries) has already made Gore a personal fortune and will undoubtedly make him much richer yet.
It's interesting to see how the media, even when confonted with the truth about Gore, tries to spin the story back in the other direction.
JeanMarlow: His 20 room home is nearly 20 times bigger than the average home, and he has a pool and pool house. Rich people who have big houses will obviously use more than the average energy. How is this a scoop or showing hypocrisy? It is far to obvious for him to have even pretended it was some sort of secret.
The hipocracy: He's supposed to be "energy efficient" solar panels, green technology, etc.
Besides..it's all about the carbon footprint. His words, not mine.

So... If I would talk about poisoning the planet ,wasting energy and making everybody feeling guilty for something thats gonna happen ,no matter of what we do...And at the same time I do all the mentioned above ... Looks like hypocrisy to me ,...

And he has some old "gas guzzling" airplane that pollutes the whole wide world.

So anyone who believes in taking care of the environment should live how? Do you believe in the taking care of the environment? Do you use only solar power and recycle everything and use energy efficient lighting, heat and water pressure? Do you recycle everything? The main problem with pollution is big companies, factories and too many cars.

I don`t preach around, don`t go around making speeches
I v`e spend a great deal of my life surrounded with politician who seem to came from the same parents and the same school ...
JeanMarlow: You may have missed the whole point of the film An Inconvenient Truth. It was not to preach but to make money create awareness of a real problem.
his point was that we can stop global warming... am I right or did I miss the point???
I for one absolutely hate this so called "GREEN" movement. Most of it is hog wash and all of it cost us more money. You can bet the house, that if a politician is talking about going green the price is going up. It's a money scam! thats my opinion
The UN IPCC is the major mouthpiece for the global warming scam.
It has about 40 panel members (hand chosen to promote the scam of course) but it claims to also represent a list of many thousands of other scientists.
However, many of the scientists listed do not at all agree with the IPCC's claims and object to their names being listed as having participated in the formation of those claims.

The point was to provide empirical and verifiable evidence that global warming is a reality, that was the primary purpose of the film. Secondary is that it can, hopefully, be combated and reversed. To preach to individuals that they, as individuals, need to be held personally responsible for it, to make people feel guilty, that was not the point.

My car is wind powered. It takes me 12 hours to get to the local grocery store that's 2 blocks away. But, I am saving the environment.
On a more serious note, just close the factories down. That should solve most of the problem.

Californian definition of a hypocrite:
1: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion 2: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings
