bodleing: This weekends football fixtures have been decimated by the weather. It's not because of the condition of the pitches, more the conditions around the grounds. In many cases there has only been a couple of inches of snow fallen but the local councils or the police have insisted the games could not go ahead.

Now I've just heard on the radio that there has never been a football game postponed in The States because of the weather...could this possibly be true?

We just recently had a blizzard here and alot of games were post poned! So to answer your question, no, it's not true. We do have games come rain snow or sun but, if the conditions are bad enough, they will be post poned for another time and date for when the weather conditions are better.
