If I was living closer I'd come see ya hun. All I can say is anyone living in the Southampton area fancy a xmas day get together, give me a shout. Good luck to ysa hun, hope you find someone.
Until I find the one I am looking for........ I will be alone at Christmas, too even though I am spending it with my family (again)

If it is any help, I was alone over Christmas too, and will be over New Year as well. Not very nice really, and not what we would choose, but then life doesn't always go smoothly I guess. 
I'm usually on my own too over Christmas .. it soon passes tho

I spent Christmas day alone and loved it. I made a pot of broth, turkey with all the trimmings and a small Christmas pudding with custard. I have my Christmas tree and decorations too.
I had 2 presents from friends which we opened on Christmas Eve! Nowadays, I treat myself the way I treat others. No more persecuting myself for previous broken relationships and what might have been!

I'm working Hogmanay til 7pm... but I'll pop in for a wee while before the bells to say hello....I wont be spending it alone though...we always congregate round the telly and have a laugh at the usual Scottish humour over a couple of halves and some nibbles...simple pleasures eh? Yeah...I would not like to guarantee that I will be on here for too long on New Year's Eve. It might be nice for everyone to have a place to gather though?
Last year I was on my own too 
but decided as it was an amazingly bright moonlit night and the snow was on the ground, I went for a Midnight New Year's Eve walk!
