Ummmm...uh oh ok doh I don't really need the switch on the wire. I can just switch if off/on at the socket, but will swap sockets for now and see how it goes. That way, I will find out if the mains socket is faulty.

Okay, the real bottle now is on the new photo.

Only trouble is I think I was too hasty in taking the pic. I should have waited until the lava warmed up and turned into floaty bouncy blobs uh oh

laugh I think your lava lamp is broken too....it's not lighting up either! doh laugh

I can't believe that my photo of my lava lamp has only been rated "4" (although I did take heart as some kind person rated it a "10" laugh

I took the plug apart, and everything is fine. It does have a faint smell of burning, but I think that is probably left over from when the fuse blew the first time. I wasn't able to access the on/off switch on the lead as there doesn't appear to be any way of opening it.

Anyhow, I have replaced the bulb yet again (4th one in 3 months!) and it's plugged into a different socket...so I'll have to see what happens next!

Oh, I do live an exciting life!! roll eyes doh laugh

Nice lava lamp there Zellarrone thumbs up
