Do you control your destiny or do you let it control you?
Some people run to see fortune tellers and then set out to furfill their destiny as the teller see fit.
I fail to see how tea leafs in the bottom of a cup is anything else then something that needs to be washed.

Well, I don't go running to the fortune teller every five minutes roll eyes ....... However, I do believe our lives are mapped out for us... everything happens for a reason and finally what will be will be.....

Good topic my friend!

I think we make our own destiny. I find it hard to grasp every thought or action we make is planned for us. If it was that would mean we are not more than puppets. I think we may be born into situations that may lay a path, but we decide whether to follow that path.

How can destiny control you? Apart from extreme cases, one usually has a choice - sometimes limited, but still a choice - If not a choice on the event at least how we react to it ...

Is your opinion about "fortune tellers" and people who go to see them from experience or are you just in a sarcastic judgemental mood?

I don't think there is such thing as controlling destiny. We need to learn to love it so we shall not feel miserable in constant battle against it.

Have you ever noticed there are times you mean to do something but there seems like always something in a way to distract you from doing what you plan. That means it is not in your destiny ... so let it go. It was not meant to happen.

Am I to complicated? confused

I believe that everyone in the world makes choices about what they do, and what paths they take.

The choices get influenced, too, by the choices of people long dead, and also by possibilities of what may happen in the future, based on known facts at the time, and projections or possibilities for what may happen.

Where it gets complicated, is when all those billions of people's paths collide and interact or interface with each other.

When all this gets in the mix, people can't account for the decisions they haven't made for themselves.

They call it destiny, when really, as often as not, it is just co-incidence, and the effects caused by other people's decisions.

Sometimes the influence is other unaccounted-for variables like the weather, earth movement and such, added to the combination as well.

Destiny, then, is only the cognitive limitations of our simple minds........wine
