tomcatwarne: I agree with the above, dear or darling is a normal term of endearment in the SW od England, and in Cornwall the men even go as far as to say "my beauty, it is not meant to be presumptuous or patronizing, just expressing well intentioned feelings. But I appreciate it may have different connotations in different parts of the world. But this is an international forum::grin:
joyannie: Stop!.... calling women "dear" withwhom you have not earned that right! You are being offensive and presumptive! IMO!!
OMG... You make it sound like calling a woman " dear" is a capital offense. Where I'm from calling a woman or man, as far as that goes, dear or sweetie is no big deal. Give it a break, maybe where his from it's a common form of expression.

faded_dino: CJT, Are you getting anything out of this storm?
We have about 8 inches so far(at my house) and it just started up again.....I love it
|| Our first big storm of the season was well over a week ago. We got more than 24 inches the first day with additional accumulations each of the 3 days following. || Lots of clean-up. Then after the clean up, we went up to over 50 degrees and it all went away. || Then got more. || Though is just a coating from the storm you have. Such odd weather these past few years. || YES!! I, too, love it! Winter is and has always been my favorite season! The cleanup of it is a hassle, but I still Love it!

we're getting pelted with that here in the Metro-East area too...we are to get pelted Wednesday-Sunday....don't know exactly how much accumulation we are expecting though. Keep safe and warm! Be careful too!

|| Thank-you for the heads up. If it stays stong and the normal west to east pattern holds, it will come our way from you. || If it gets a freezing shot blast down out of Canada, as it leaves you then we will get pounded with large accumulations. || Anyways, I have kerosene and will get anothe can, just incase of power failure so I have back-up heat and light. || You stay safe and warm too.||
