I have forwarded this thread to my friends/contacts on here, but I obviously don't expect them to have to agree with my idea..they may not. Each to their own. It's just a shame when people are leaving because they are bored.

Well, I haven't dared have a close look yet, but that red thing in the back of your photo looks suspiciously like a massive thong hanging on a washing line to me!!

Hi Jan, I don't know what the answer is to stimulate a bit more fun and interaction on here but I can understand the general mood of apathy. The repetition can become mind numbing and it's not fair to blame new comers for the repetition, they don't know what topics have gone before, but the odds are that the regulars will have been there and done it, many times no doubt.
I think the only answer is for those that are bored of it to take a break or leave altogether and let the new blood go ahead and repeat the CS history and enjoy the novelty of it like we all once did, and to let CS continue and prosper as it so rightly deserves to do.

Thanks for the compliment and I would not want you to get banned. I just got here a little over a week ago and have had a blast and met lot's of wonderful folks. Also the occasional jugg head.

Juneau: I don't know if the moderators will be reading this or not, and I know that my views may not correspond with some on here, but I am afraid to say that several of my friends on CS have either left or are considering leaving because they have become jaded with CS....they all say the same thing - that the forums are stagnant and the same old subjects just go around and around. Although I plan to stay on CS for the foreseeable future, I can agree that it could do with a bit of something different to spark people's interest again.

1st April: "Easter Theme" day .... an Easter bunny, Easter egg, religious photo etc
1st May: "Favourite Detective" day ... Columbo, Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple
1st June: "Favourite Piece of Art" day ... Renoir, Monet or just a piece of art that you like
1st July: "Your Alter Ego" day...who would you love to be for the day if you could? Brad Pitt, 007, Angelina Jolie, Elvis

I know this may seem like a silly suggestion, but one little idea is:
to have a funny/alternative profile photo day...maybe just on the 1st day of the month
Having been on CS now for 15 months, the majority of people that I come across seem to like the funny photos that people put on. As long as their other photos are of themselves, people would still be able to see what they look like.
examples:
