winterinhamburg: My mother was diagnosed with cancer 2 months before she died. A day before she died we talked on the webcam and everything was fine, we talked, we laughed. On the christmas day she told my sister that it was her time to go, she told my sister to help her paying her debts to 2 people (bought cakes forgot to pay), and she told my sister to tell me not to come home and instead giving the ticket money to the poor, she wished to be buried the next morning, and after she went to the bathroom, took a bath, cleaned herself and went back to bed and died. Just like that....

She was in Asia and i was in Europe i was thousand miles away from her, and the worse was i had to respect her last wish for not allowing me to come home only for the funeral and instead giving the money for charity! I was angry with her for that wish and in the morning of her funeral (after midnight europe time) i was sleeping during that time when suddenly awaked because i felt her presence in my room, she was stood near the door it was more like a shadow, didn't say anything but i could feel she was saying goodbye to me... I know maybe none of you believe me.. but it was not a dream... or even if i was hallucinating it was so real...
As a grandmother, I sort-of have a feeling for how your mother must have felt......... there comes a time in life when it is time to depart .... and you don`t want to cause disruptions in your childrens lives ........ Its all just a natural phenomenon of life .... perfectly natural.

I have heard family members of mine speak of having been visited by relatives who have died, like they have come to say goodbye.

And also remember ... people who are dying .... they also hang-on if they are asked to .. and then they die, also, when they feel they have "permission" to depart... usually in the early hours of the morning, or when the last visitor has gone home.

carenza: many many years ago, my mother bought me a white racing bicycle for my 18th birthday.

that summer, my birthday is in june, I worked at a company not too far from my house.
it was very warm and I took my bike with me.

I parked my bike in a special area made for company bikes and put a lock on it. it should be safe and secure for there was this man looking after this area.

I started work for a few hours and never thought of the bike.
then, suddenly, the bike came into my mind around lunchtime. A strange and eerie feeling came up and I remember laughing at myself to have these thoughts.

went to lunch...finished my work for the day and took off to ride my bike back home..
but it was stolen. around the same time I got that eerie feeling as later came out during police investigation.
(nowadays you don't even have to bother going to the police, but this was ages ago)

I will never forget that feeling of something taken away from me.
since then I trust my intuition strongly.

and my dead auntie visits me in times of danger. She appeared to me twice in my teens and now she makes sure I smell her perfume to let me know she is there. When I suddenly smell chanel no 5, with no one around who wears it...I know she is there and it makes me feel more alert to things and events that are happening.

Intuition is a great and wonderful gift to nurture in yourself. It takes a hard lesson sometimes, to learn to appreciate it ... but it will always stand you in good for times when it could save your life, or those of your loved ones, or for any old reason. It`s one of the oldest of our senses, like animals still have naturally, and if you have it, look after it, and pay close attention to it.

Wonderful to have such a close connection with a relative! I will have to finally choose a perfume to call my own .. so when I need to make my presence felt, I can waft it around the room! ..... or maybe just the aroma of my cigarettes should tell my special little grand-daughter that I am HERE!

MAN67: I think in Cyprus you have a very good shrink called Mikellides, go and see him, he might be able to help you.
I don`t believe Maisie was actually looking for any "help" .... she was just sharing a good experience with us.

Sorry you mis-understood her post.

smoky: Ah yes, those are the times .... when you sort-of know that "what is meant to be will be" ..? IS there another dimension..?.... "Guides"....? ... or What..? that are beside us?

I have absolutely no doubt that we have our own personal angels and guides. I would hae been long gone out of this world without them. I am certain about that. Except that I still feel uncomfortable now and again, to actually ask something of them, that I'm kinda being selfish. But for 'them', it really is a case of 'ask and you shall receive'. So I like to save up my requests for something really important. Though apparently, they don't like to interfere unless we ask them toangel

When my son was growing up, and still now that he's 25, I always ask his angels to keep him safe and look after him and never leave his side. I know they won't, but just like to be bossy.laugh
