I've been told everything happens for a reason.But I don't believe that's totally true.

Yes i beleive everything good or bad happens for a reason..
It makes a stronger and makes us who we are...
If everything thing was handed to us and always good happens would be such a boring life..we wouldnt strive to be and do better..

The majority of things that happen are because of our acts, only a very small % happens without our involvement. If we do it for a reason then yes otherwise no.

all the events in my life lead to the position I am in life today.
this is just an example.
without breaking up with an ex boyfriend, I wouldn't have met my toddlers father...and without him, I wouldnt have had her, my life greatest gift. and without all the problems I have faced the last 3 years, I wouldn't have ended up here, where I met new friends and perhaps a new special person.
sometimes bad things happen and you can't help but asking yourself why? what have I done to deserve this?
the fun thing is, that you don't ask yourself this question when everything goes well.
and when bad things happen, i think it is best to just let it happen and afterwards count your blessings. and maybe, something that was bad in the beginning, turned out to be the best thing ever happening to you.

I think life unfolds as it goes. For every action, there is a reaction. Its based on the choices we make. Thats hopefully based on the goodness in our hearts. I think that ultimately determines whether we have good lives or not.
