trish123: Im looking forward to seeing it too
I think you´ll enjoy it Trish.
It´s not an action packed blockbuster type of film as you probably know, but then I don´t really go for those films anyway. It´s a typically Brit, understated, but finely acted piece of History.
Aside from some fine acting by Colin Firth and the wonderfully eccentric Helena Bonham Carter, Geoffrey Rush, that fine Australian actor, steals the film in my opinion.
Ooohhh, all of these wonderfully good reviews make me want to see it even more. :)As a child, I had a bit of a stammer and a speech impediment. My mother had read of one of the ancient Greek philosophers who had learned to stop stuttering by speaking with pebbles in his mouth. So she tried it with me. What do you know, but it helped wonderfully. :)
One of the side effects of my stroke was that I couldn't speak properly, so again the pebbles were used. I can now speak well once again. Colin Firth as Mr.Darcy (*DROOL*)
