Hi

I have a Friend whos 21 yr old daughter H has just been through months of kemo and the latest radiation then we had a two week wait for her next check up, I recived a txt then a ph call from her mum and H is now looking like she is in remission as the tuma has no cancer cell's and has stayed small, this is the best news we could have hoped for and we are all so greatful.
The question I am asking is how do you celebrate or do you at all ? when H as a good friend who is the same age and has just been told all treatment has failed and she has lost friends during her own fight, H is such an amazing young woman who ceases to amaze me and inspires me everyday, all she wants to do and will is help the young who are going through this cruel disease. How do you celebrate one win when so many loose ?

Steve

hi steve wave Im not sure how to answer this question really but I think just living life to the fullest and finding ways to appreciate life in all its glory is a wonderful thing when you have come so close to losing the fight like so many others have ..

give her EXPERIENCES.. let her experience and see new things that create awe and wonder and make her feel glad to be alive and appreciate and celebrate each new day

yes its sad that friends of hers have lost their fight while she has come through it .. however they wouldnt want her to not enjoy her life just because they lost theirs

she fought to survive.. and it looks like she has done it so good for her cheering applause cheering

Extremely lucky good luck too her.

Fighting
Beating
enduring Cancer, such a hideous disease takes nothing more than strength, courage and hope.

May her life be filled with happiness and love.

I would say celebrate it in the fashion that H wants too. This is her battle she has won and she be someone who thinks winning is enough.
Support her endeavors to to help others as she will be an inspiration to them as they know she has been there.

Honestly, having been involved in self help groups for over 30 years it is amazing how much comfort and support just meeting someone who either has/had the same condition or is fighting or has fought the same condition can give to a person. Everyone gains so much from the interaction, it is awe inspiring stuff.

May H remain the winner and continue to inspire
cheers

Let he celebrate any way she likes.

Having had cancer myself and in remision I celebrate after my 6 monthly visits to the dictors and they tell me all is good.

It's not an easy fight sometime it can be a long one not all make it but the ones that do come out with a diffrant perpective on life. Me I just take it each day as it comes. I am out there celebrating MY way and damm it feels so good.

hug and love go a long way with people that have contracted this disease of so many unknowns ... Like you DD, I am amazed at the positiveness that shines through the human spirit...

I am also nurturing a friend that looks as if she is beating this intrusion - After a hysterectomy and countless lymph nodes removed- to now endure 25 treatments of radio therapy , she ploughs through the evasiveness with constant determination ...it never ceases to amaze me the strength of our girls...love em all kiss hug
