winter or summer what do you like better (20)

well, I much prefer the winter- I lived in Ottawa for years and loved the chill-me-to-the-bone-if-I'm-not-dressed-properly weather!

I personaly prefer summer. I am big on outdoors and beaches and parks. In the winter its too depressing. Bleh.

Ok we both live in the same city.. whatever side of Edmonton you are in...keep the snow over there. I didn't get any on my side 
I am a fall and spring person myself. I don't mind the snow at all... it's the cold that I can do without.
To answer your thread, I prefer summer over winter, because there's more too do, hikes, parks, lakes, beaches. It gets really hot in in the summer though here..upwards of 40 degrees for a few weeks.
My fav though is spring and fall. the changeing colours of all the leaves and the blooming orchards and you can do all the summer activites yet its much cooler.
PS - Not to brag - the weather here today: sunny, clear sky with a few puffy white clouds, and a high of 16 degrees.

Sanity is overrated. 
I'm going to have to go with winter. Something about so many things hiding themselves waiting to be reborn anew in the spring appeals to me.

Well I am Out near fox creek right now. I am not sure there are lots of cool things to do in the summer but you can do some fun stuff in the winter ski-dooing things that relate to snow. I do like summer more but what can you do. I am new to the alberta area and here it can get really cold here so I guess I will have to deal with it LOL

grrrr does not like the heat of the sun's burning rays, nor the humidity levels after a good rainstorm in the middle of summer.
Not that I have a problem with the rain itself.. prairie storms are awesome. That's the only thing I like about summer.

I definately prefer summer over winter. I can't stand winter - the cold and the snow. Where I will, we actually don't get a lot of snow. However, in late fall and winter - everything is generally brown, dead and looks dirty. My favorite season is spring. L.
I guess i would have to choose summer...but my favorite time of the year is the "fall"...
I like every season but my favorite is also fall. I really wouldn't wanna live in a country where the weather is always the same.
I like all seasons...but I don't particularly like the end of winter changing into spring...you know where it gets all yucky...but other then that...

Winter in ontario is not that bad I used to like in port hope, There are cool things to do in all the seasons But I would have to say the spring and the summer are what I like the most. All the mud is good for off roading and u know the nice weather is coming and I try to spend as much time on the lake as posible,

I like both winter and summer. If I didn't I surely would have moved by now.
I love summer coz then I get to run around outside and play with my boy at the playground and go swimming and wear shorts and get a half decent tan and play soccer and all that good junk....
I also love winter coz well... there's the NHL and Don Cherry, there's building snowmen and forts with my boy, throwing snowballs at my brothers, christmas and all the baking I get to do, cozy nights I can curl up with a book, the way a fresh snow fall looks on the trees and ground by moonlight ect... so yeah both seasons have their high points... I'm actually gratefull that I live in the sort of place that I get to experience all four seasons!
