Foxfairy5: I am fairly new to this site, so I am a bit puzzled by what has happened with me and a member I thought I was getting on great with...We had been writing back and forth at least two weeks, and we seemed to be hitting it off fairly well. Then this week I had extra long days at work so I had very little free-time, and I looked at his e-mail the day I got it but, didn't have time to answer his (or anyone else's) for almost three days. Now I finally found some extra time to give him a good reply and found that he has blocked me, huh?! I mean it is not like we were to the point of being more than friends, and we don't even live in the same country...not sure why he reacted like that. Do people do that here often? Because if so I will have to remember to send a short reply when I am too busy for a longer one.

So, you read his mail, apparently having time to do this but had no time to write back and say a simple, sorry, work is taking my time up but I will respond later. ...takes very little time to do that, maybe less than it takes to read his mail.

I would in most cases assume your disinterest in knowing you read it but didn't have anything to say or I would assume you're inconsiderate in not sending a simple explanatory mail since you knew you were in a time crunch. Being considerate is easy.

You're last sentence is right, but you don't HAVE to remember to be considerate as if there's some chore in it. It's just something considerate does.

Own your own choices I say.
