Blocked for not replying right away?! (44)
Foxfairy5Crescent City, California USA1 Threads 2 PostsI am fairly new to this site, so I am a bit puzzled by what has happened with me and a member I thought I was getting on great with...We had been writing back and forth at least two weeks, and we seemed to be hitting it off fairly well. Then this week I had extra long days at work so I had very little free-time, and I looked at his e-mail the day I got it but, didn't have time to answer his (or anyone else's) for almost three days. Now I finally found some extra time to give him a good reply and found that he has blocked me, huh?! 
I mean it is not like we were to the point of being more than friends, and we don't even live in the same country...not sure why he reacted like that. Do people do that here often? Because if so I will have to remember to send a short reply when I am too busy for a longer one.

Best U find out now his tolerance level (or in this case, lack there of) before u invest anymore time in him...His lost dear, and not uncommon with all the different personalities u will find on here....

Well things get delayed for many reasons on the net, compter down time, power cuts, many many reasons, seems you had a goog escape. Think what he mighthave done on a serious issue

You've only been writing for 2 weeks and didn't reply for 3 days you say? I don't know that I would change the way you are doing things. Is it not good to find out earlier rather than later that someone is impatient and a me me me person obviously not prepare to take into account that you work and sometimes have to prioroties what you have to take care of?
When some one says "jump" you don't always have to ask "how high?"

Hello and welcome sweetie To me his behaviour is a HUGE red flag! This reeks of controlling behaviour and reminds me of a two year old taking a temper tantrum if he doesnt get his own way fast enough. I think you dodged a bullet.

True, I would have not reacted like that if someone had taken that long getting back to me, because I realize I am not the center of the universe...that other person has a job, friends and family in his/her regular life that should take importance of the internet. Still it amazed me that he did that because he didn't appear needy in his e-mails.
