Ccincy: A little one.
Hi Ccincy
Would you be willing to do nothing and let 10's of thousands of people be killed. This is a country that is moving towards a civil war, if we do nothing there will be a lot more deaths as the people rise up against his regime. A lot of innocent men, women and children will die, because we turned a blind eye to there suffering.
I don't want this conflict or any other for that matter, but I certainly would not like to see the consequences of doing nothing.

Think about how many of our own men are losing their lives in the other two wars.Where does the buck stop? I have two older brothers who fought in both the Vietnam and Korean warswhere did the bcuk stop there>
I also have a son who's been to Iraq and now back in the states.
It's all about politics and who can bully next.War solves nothing.
We can't even take care of our own. What about the people who are in great need over here.Don't they count for something.

Lets just say we agree to disagree.
We shall do just that Ccincy,
you do pose interesting questions and I do understand your point of view.
ali110: Is it not against human rights to attack on the Libya ,Why Usa and co are always looking to the war ?it is not thier business to enter the face in The other countries internal issues ,They should think about thier own nations ,They are under crises they lost and are losing the jobs and properties
I hate war and terrorism ,to attack on the Libya is clear international terrorism
It is called "Regime change" just another extension of the Bush Doctrine to grab whatever country with mineral wealth and secure it for reasons of 'national security' bringing it into compliance with the US empire. Now that the so called 'Arab League',(read Sunni Muslim governments) has sided with the US they are now complicit in waging war against another Muslim country...I wonder who in next; certainly NOT a Sunni dominated Muslim country...
This is not the USA acting alone, this is the United Nations acting in unison to deal with an issue that can't easily be ignored.
Where does it end ?......when is intervening in every country with unrest too much ? What if every middle-east country is embroiled in civil unrest and genocide ? Why can't the rest of the Nato allies handle the remainder ? The USA already has two wars going and a dismal economy

Why immediately fire off 115 cruise missiles into a country in revolution when a much smaller show of military dominance might do ?

its the liyan population who wanted these attacks at all costs, wake up please??????
Ccincy: I don't have all the solutions but why do we the USA always fight someone elses battles. Who's going to fight ours?
we don't always fight for other people. There has to be alot of money in it or our Chiefs are not interested.(who's going to fight ours?)The children of the poor, mostly. They always have.
I'm an old man. I cannot remember a time when I read the news and didn't read about a terroist attack. I've seen young sailors shot and shoved off a hijacked plane. I've seen old men in wheelchairs pushed off cruiseships. And I can't even begin to count the bombs. Libya and yes it's people supported and cheered these actions. May God forgive me but I'm having a hard time caring if Libyians kill each other. I sure don't want my childrens lives or my money spent to stop it. And not long ago they all cheered the nut that rules them. Let them sort out their lifes themselves at whatever it cost them.

This whole thing reminds of bullies bullying others.
