Godsgift: I just get the idea that women are now so fiercely independant they have no need for a man!We are seen as half a mortgage payment. Men wouldn't give up so easily if some of these women would at least make an attempt to meet them half way! JMHO
god thats sad, I dont agree a lil romance from the right person can soften the hardest of women..Irish help me out here
when it comes to what women want that what confuses me...lol its like they cant choose what they like and second guess themselves would drive me mad lol
although i certianly did talk to women who were very sure what they wanted and looked for i just think at times women blame alot of things on us alot or look for other reasons than look at whats real but this can be said for some men i suppose were all guilty to a certian extent of this

Its depressing to see the men versus women nature of this thread....lets face it, both men and women in Ireland are particularly poor at being romantic.....we haven't a clue. Its not a male versus women or women versus men thing....its a cultural thing that both men and women should be aware of.

ahhh now you see I never said it was a man versus women thing.. Im romantic and I love spoiling the right guy, but I havent found a guy here that just hasnt pushed their luck when it comes to sussing out if Im up for anything (and believe me its not romance)... maybe thats why Im getting disillusioned with the idea of romance...

That comment wasn't aimed at you, in fairness you didn't start the whole men versus women debate....you just responded to a comment that was made with your opinion on the issue.

I agree, there are a lot of very aggressive women out there... Now there's nought wrong with Independence... however, when a woman needs/has to become as competitive as a man then you LOSE you feminanity... We all need to accept that we are different and accept these difference.. not try and become them
