May I humbly submit:
"Billy don't be a hero" by bo donaldson etc. I'm giving you the name of the song up front so you can avoid clicking on the link lest you violate your ears. This song was played at least 10 times a day on the AM radio where I worked for a while. I think this song was responsible for the invention of ear buds so a person could listen to something else just to block the incessant garbage that came out of the shop radio.

'Friday' was written by Clarence Jey and Patrice Wilson at Ark Music. They charge young wannabees of rich parents $4000 for a song and video. When Black turned up she was offered a choice of 2 songs that had been chucked together in an afternoon. She chose "Friday", as the other song was about adult love.
Unfortunately she can't even claim to have written the song. As the producers/writers used the same format of crap lyrics, autotune and a black rapper it accidentally parodied every other commercial song; in a way became the ultimate parody by accident.
It is this that has caused so many people to polarise against it.
In my opinion it is the people who hate it that have inadvertantly catapulted it to fame which is pretty much ironic.

I'm sure tom waits is just "takin the piss" with songs like this,and probably not meant to taken seriously,,but nevertheless,,it really is dreadful....
