Now, to be fair, I think us guys get a lot more latitude. No matter how we look, proper grooming is more important. Consider the gap-toothed, jug-handle-eared, squat-faced Clark Gable, generally considered star in one of the most romantic film roles, ever. (Also reputed to have such dreadful halitosis that costar Vivien Leigh shrank from kissing him.) Fact is, if their genders were reversed -- she homely as hell, but nicely groomed, and he some reincarnation of Apollonic masculine beauty -- I think everyone would have considered Gone With the Wind an overlong comedy, and not a very funny one, either.

I think we all want someone who we are attracted to on the outside as well as the inside.
As to whether or not they are "handsome" or "hot", that is subjective.Not everyone will be attracted to the same thing.I'm attracted to my boyfriend exactly how he is.Whether or not anyone else is makes no difference to me.
