I think that the word "troll" seems to be used way too frequently to describe someone who takes a opposing view to someone else,or is candidly honest about what they think,or is simply unpopular with the clique/s.
The forum is a reflection of real life and not just for escapism.

lilmamma71: We all have our good days and our bad days. We have members we LOVE to see in the forums and then we have those members that make us go , but we all have just as much right to be here, one as the other.
Do you all think lately the forums have become more of a verbal/emotional bully circle or do you think people have been having a hard time and come here to release stress and pick on someone else to make themselves feel better? Or is it for some other reason?
I know we've had some entertaining members come and go since I've been here in the past several months and we've also had some downright nasty trolls which needed to get the boot...and to the Mod's thank you for that.
What is it that makes you stay/go/take a break/give up/on CS?
I stay because I am not going to allow the FEW nasty people I've encountered drive me out.
I stay because I truly have made some phenomenal, wonderful friendships here, and have seen some hard times with you all, and you've given me advice, feedback and input,when I've needed it as well...for that I thank you.
I hope the forums will once again become entertaining, lively and informative and somehow let go of the anger/pettiness/downgrading that's been going on.
What do you think we can do as a collective to get this place back where it needs to be? Happy, lively and jovial!

It´s always been the same, though I do think the threads are progressively getting more juvenile. Sometimes I think there´s a child posting behind an adult profile pic!
I also notice more needy, attention seeking people. That´s quite sad I know, but wearisome to read their threads or posts.
