Snuggs09: I've procrastinated long enough on having total knee replacement surgery and now I have to do it.
X-rays show that my knee doesn't have any cartilage so it's bone on bone when my knee moves.
Walking, sleeping, sitting for any length of time, all are painful so I'm going to have get me a whole new knee.
I know what I'm in for when it comes to rehab and I'm not looking forward to it....
I'll be in the hospital for about a week and rehab after that.
Then the painful physical therapy
I won't be around for awhile so if the anethesia doesn't do me in I'll be back in three or four months.
See ya-----
I did tell you to get it seen to in a post on another thread but I don't think you saw it.
Constant pain is no fun Snuggs,I have had bone on bone in my right hip and finally had a new one on March 1st. this year.
Here in the UK ops are done within 18 weeks so I was lucky, and you won't be out of action that long, and you will be pain free which is the most important thing,

Sorry to hear you are in pain, Snuggs. Wishing you all the best with your surgery, and a full and speedy recovery. Any chance you can get a laptop or i-Pad so you could keep in touch once in a while when you are in rehab?
