Partiro: Well Im not too sure thats correct, Leinster has got very competitive lately

I agree, Leinster has become more competitive the last few years, and it's great to see it, but I'm biased, and I still think Ulster is the most unpredictable

something has to be done in footvball to make it more exciting, the amount of frees tru pulling and dragging is a joke plus the amoutn of fist passes you can use in one movement should be reduced

Well maybe a few years ago that was the case but teams have improved and we have 11 counties it can be a tougher run in (Imo)

In the last 10 years, every county in Ulster has been in a final. Ok, either Armagh or Tyrone have won each time, but at least everyone got their shot at it dunno

I will agree to a point about Ulster Championships but its usually the same counties that compete for the mayor honours, if you were to go by the bookies no Leinster team would be in with a chance, as for Ulster being the more difficult championship, it has less teams in it and some of the leinster counties are being managed by ex ulter teams players dunno

Ok, you have 11 counties, but in all honesty, do you even consider Wicklow, Longford and Carlow - Sorry Jimbo uh oh

Micko did great work with Wicklow in recent years, but they still have a long way to go.

I don't know what your point is about Ulster men managing Leinster teams confused

Well they mightnt set the world alight but they are still hard games to beat, as for my point about Ulster men managing they seem to have an obsession with physical and fitness training

They do concentrate on fitness and, in my opinion, that is to the detriment of the game. A lot of the skill that you would have seen 20 years ago, is gone. We have a young player coming up now, Paddy McBrearty, and his skill is a joy to watch. Lets hope it's not trained out of him, as is often the case

So if only 2 countys have won Ulster championships in the last 10 years how can you say Ulster is a harder championship to win?

I said it was the most competitive. Tyrone and Armagh have dominated, but the other final place is always changing. I know, I'm probably fighting a losing battle here, but someone has to stick up for Ulster football laugh

Partiro,

With the exception of Cavan and possibly Fermanagh, every county is capable of winning Ulster. In Leinster there are about 4 teams tops that could ever win it and it's usually a case of who will be runners up to Dublin.

I think Leinster is the least competitive province after ourselves. Connacht is far more competitive. Crap, but competitive. But nowhere is close to Ulster for competitiveness. One of themain reasons I wouldn't favour totally scrapping the provincials is because of the competitiveness of Ukster. JMO.

im sick of hearing how competitive ulster football is, to the best of my knowledge there have been to two winners since the turn of the century, in the same time there has been 5 different winners in leinster 2 in munster and 4 in connacht
