I've about 20 of his 40-plus albums. Seen him perform 3 times, 3 terrific shows.
A lot of folk, yes, never liked his voice. First thing they say, he can't sing! Yet he's made himself a megastar, a living legend, by doing just that for 51 years. So, who's to judge that he can't sing? Apparently he can.

Shakespeare wasn't very good on the guitar so he didn't bother trying. But then again, there wasn't the medium of radio in his day to help get his words across.

I prefer poets that don't quite sing their words ... It keeps the attention on the lyrics instead of them getting merged and lost within the music ...
