finding myself single after an ltr I've re-discovered a lot of freedom. I'm not quite sure I'm ready to give it up for a relationship. they're such hard work and love always dies out. What do you think is the price of freedom?[/quote
Its true that it is liberating to get out of a relatiionship that turned sour. The freedom at that stage is life is great, it gives you time to rediscover yourself, and make decisions about where you are going in life without another persons input.
But what you are saying about relationships being hard work, well, anything that is worth it requires some effort. And compromise and "give and take" are all part of a relationship. But if its a good one its not about loosing freedom, it is freedom to love and be loved. I think its very sad to hear someone say "love always dies out". If thats the case maybe it wasnt true love at all. And whats the point in even entering any relationship if you believe it will die out? You only get what you ask for, or what you expect.
Try to be more optimistic! If you expect bad things to happen, guess what will happen?
