Happygolucky4u: In my area we have alot of women from the phillipanes from what I have seen they rarely cheat and make excellent wifes, mothers, and friends. They are assets to the community. Maybe it is because of the area where they are from they are that way Sad to think anyone would feel so desperate to marry just for a visa or money. They must come from places they really want to leave.

It wasnt always for a visa, sometimes it was money . Life is hard there and very dependaant on tourism, so an easy option is to find a woman, convince her you have fallen in love, and once they have the money they want your history.

In all fairness, it happens the other way around too.
I saw a lot of western guys abusing the situation in Asia.
Sometimes for visas, sometimes just for a disposable girlfriend that they mislead about their intentions.
I have also seen entire Asian families work together to snag an unsuspecting foreigner into a marriage for which he had no intention.
In one case the poor guy (a wealthy Indian Muslim from Zimbabwé) didn't know what was happening when his girlfriend and her family invited him out for dinner. Dinner happened to be the wedding ceremony complete with a couple hundred guests. Their marriage worked out well, but he really hadn't planned for it.

Because somtimes it's true. Why would Women want an Eastern Man when Western Woman has spent a century fighting the old inequality and establishing the new inequality in their own land? Western society and people have never been so feminine.

Happygolucky4u: Yes I have heard but never witnessed what you speak of. Most from Ukrainian and Russian area, men and women come to my area to visit not to marry They seem to stick mostly to themselves when here. They do seem to be people who are visually nice to look at. I actually feel sad for anyone who lives in difficult circumstances. I have it hard but nothing compared to some. I don't think anyone would want to feel their only option at happiness relied on a visa. I wish the world was different. If money and visa is a part of it then it is not just about love and trust it is about desperation. Anyone vernturing into something like this should do it with an open mind that it might not work out like one would hope. It is never fair to play off ones desperation and I feel both parties are wanting something out of it so to go to this measure usually means desperation. Never will I judge someones shoes I have not walked in. I try to look at the big picture in life not just one little part. What bought it to this point and possiable places it could lead. Not everyone has the desire to understand in life
