Absolutely not! I swapped the city for a tiny village and I couldn't be happier. In the city I felt I could have died and no-one would have noticed now I feel I'm part of a community. I love my wonderful neighbours!

I lived in the sticks from an early age till my late teens.... boring
I moved to the Big Smoke at 19 to my first real (salaried) job and couldn't wait to leave it.
Now I Live in the largest town (by population) in the County... I'll be here until I'm pushing up daisies. I wouldn't leave here for love nor money.

When you're young like you are you would be better off in a city. More excitement.
I live in a small town. It's just the right size to know people to say hello to in the shopping centre but big enough to maintain your privacy. And Ennis is 15 minutes one way and Limerick 15 minutes the other. From my house I can walk to the Shannon Estuary in about 3 minutes. I'm happy enough.

Cities are more interesting for younger people.

would big time depend on type of job i got I live in the country 3mls from the refugee capital of Mayo and it's crap for just about anything but can't see me moving anytime soon .

I lived in London for 2 years in 1977/78.
Being only 19 at the time it was great !
Too much to do and see !!
I like to go there for a weekend now but it has changed a lot
since the late 70's. I love the underground system.
So eay to get about if you don't have your own transport.
