Speaking of scammers, ha, I have noticed since I have returned from vacation, a guy who wrote to me disappeared.
I had said hello to him before I left. Then got a note back telling me his IM name and to start writing to him. Remember folks, don't leave the site until you know him real good. I even goggle people's names. So, I said, wait a minute cowboy, I want to write here awhile.
So he titles his note to me: Hell I guess because he had to write about himself instead of IMing right away. It sounded a bit strange, a guy who has lived in Wisconsin for 17 years but was Swedish and sent to the US by his company for work. Then the big red flag, he is a widow.
I wrote back and said I might be able to say hello while I was away.
Now, no sign of him or my note, ha. I will be crying all night, more like laughing my as. off.
doberman3: Hi Felix, couldn't stay away long. It's good to see you also. I think it's great that you did so well in school, and your kids. It's hard work.
Thanks for what you said about secondary ed. I just love to create.

YAY!
I love to motivate! And I am proud of my kid's accomplihsments because they had a much harder road than most esp my oldest son
but he could not be where he is today w/out the education he worked so hard to achieve

yup spunds suspicious I usually block anyone who suggests communicationg off the site
serene56: Hated that site, the minute you join up men are circling like sharks and then bombard you with emails and IMs ..
And you're right, the emails are really annoying - if I wanted to be matched up with the ones they suggested, I wouldn't bother being on a dating site in the first place.
There's plenty of that breed of fish around here
well what I found with the site is that most of their suggested matches are not anyone I'd be remotely interested in (with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions), and hence since that drives many of the emails, I am not being contacted by men who I have an interest in
I am thinking about going back in to adjust my match & contact & email settings/preferences to see if that might help
ooby_dooby: I never did get comfy with that site, in fact I never quite figured out what the deal was with all the womens pictures on my home page as there is no title such as THESE ARE WOMEN WHO BLAH BLAH BLAH. They have a lot of members but of all the women who've showed interest in me there was not one that interested me. trying to "Match" me with someone is a total waste of time. Their "new matches" emails are just an annoyance which forces me to delete the email without even looking at them.
you might as well quit this one too then. All online dating sites seem to be the same thing. Only the men are serious, and the women who are serious are looking for any reason NOT to respond or go on a date, while the man are all looking for ANY reason TO respond or go out on a date. Men are a dime a dozen and women can just pick and choose. It isn't fair or practical in any way. They all just want to get as many members as they possibly can so they can make money. Only reason I stay on is so I can continue to bash the sites in the forums.
