And then .... when you have all bared your hearts .... I will tell you a boring one, or could be interesting, depending on whether you can empathise with it, or not....... drinking

At different times I liked different colours. I had a “green” period, and a “purple” one. Now I like yellow: planted marigolds and sunflowers outside my back door. And soon it’ll be autumn and everything will turn yellow and red and gold. And then there will be this beautiful smell of fallen leaves. Almost as good as the smell of the sea…daydream

Looks like I’m more sensitive to smells: it happens that I fall in love with a smell and just have to buy it. But after a short while I’ll become tired of it and have to change. And it was like that as long as I can remember myself.

A person's colour preferences can be very revealing.

My supervisor many years ago, used this when we were undergoing therapy with him as part of our board registration.

According to that test, yellow means development:

“Attitude of anticipation, attitude towards future development and towards new encounters.”

But what would it mean in terms of the real life?

I couldn't tell you Tule...what attitude towards future development/new encounters. Some crucial information seems missing. Still, it's way too many years since I even looked at the Luscher and I think I've even lost the colour cards in all my shifts.

What I will say though, whatever it could represent, you would need to use that information along with results of other testing... never rely on only one.

How are you doing? wave

Also, color symbolism varies between cultures and their meaning to them can be totally different from one to another.

An interesting article...if these 'facts' were found to be significant in experimental terms, then it well illustrates my point of never using results of any test, in isolation.

p.s...a test needs to be used within the cultural context for which it was developed, otherwise results are invalid.

Where is Smoky?
I hope she would not mind the notes about the colors.

Interpreting the colors is not my field but I see two different things here:

The colors that people like or prefer and
“The color” the person IS.

In that article there is a link to a simple test and it can be interesting if people does not what color they are and what traits are associated to it.

For me I am deep pinkish and that category suits me quite well.

...I am mostly a 'cool' colours person, though I would add white(needs to be vivid, not cream or off-white)....

I’m pale-green, according to that test, and I’m quite satisfied with their explanation of what I am:

Your dominant hue is green. You're logical and steadfast, focused on figuring life out and doing what makes sense. You value being trusted because you know you're taking the time to figure things out and everyone should just follow you.

Your saturation level is lower than average - You don't stress out over things and don't understand people who do. Finishing projects may sometimes be a challenge, but you schedule time as you see fit and the important things all happen in the end, even if not everyone sees your grand master plan.

Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.

applause

This is what I got.

"you are deeppink #FF1493
Your dominant hues are red and magenta. You love doing your own thing and going on your own adventures, but there are close friends you know you just can't leave behind. You can influence others on days when you're patient, but most times you just want to go out, have fun, and do your own thing.

Your saturation level is high - you get into life and have a strong personality. Everyone you meet will either love you or hate you - either way, your goal is to get them to change the world with you. You are very hard working and don't have much patience for people without your initiative.

Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation."

Quite close to my way of being.

Thank you, I’m fine (given circumstances). And according to the latest colour test I’ve taken, it’s my usual state.

I agree that you can’t judge a person by only one test. But isn’t life itself a continuous test that we have to undergo ‘till death would release us from it? I haven’t always done my tests well, but nonetheless I’ve passed a few. Some with rather high scores. (Am I boasting?laugh )
