I will defer to Deb's knowledge on this because i'm not as keen on makeup as i was years ago...
However as you will notice i am a darker skin colour...and at some point in my life a "brunette"...lol
To get the effect of the "white" pencil on the inner rim of my eye i use a "silver" has the same effect but not as "stark" as a white against the darker skin...(blue liner also helps make your eyes appear whiter if they are blood shot or tired looking).. Instead of "pink" i use a "champagne" colour on the lower part of my lid and inner corner of my eye...a darker colour in the crease drawn out to the outer corner of your eye and just beyond can "largen" the appearance of your eye...and black mascara against the lighter colour lid also opens your eye...
Green and purple are also good "evening" colours for dark skinned/dark eyed women...
well i think the pink would look better on you, it a very soft pink, so the look is very subtle but you can see a difference as your eyes look bigger and a good one if your tired makes you look instantly awake. read my email ive sent you.
I find, at my age, the more natural-looking makeup, the better. With my blue eyes, I never would wear blue or purple eyeshadow. I always stick to neutral browns/tans. I have good skin but it's beginning to show some signs of aging, so mainly I just try to eat right and use a very light-coverage makeup. Nothing too greasy or too heavy. Most of the time, I don't wear makeup at all..unless I'm going somewhere. Drinking water, as was previously mentioned, is probably one of the best things you can do for your skin -- important to keep it hydrated.
I find that the older i get, the less makeup i tend to wear...
I have gone from wearing "red" lipstick..to just a tinted chapstick..lol..and a lip liner...
Too much face makeup tends to "settle" in the creases i'd rather not know i have...so unless its an "evening" event, I just wear a bit of face powder to take the "shine" off...
I do like my "eye makeup", but still wear less of it...

I was blessed with a good complexion - I owe that to genetics. I can maintain it by regular washing with soap and water, everything in moderation, and drinking lots of water.
Never had to wear foundation or powder, don't like make- up but do wear eyeliner, lip gloss if I remember. Takes seconds in the morning to swipe a liner across the eyes.
you should never use soap on your skin, it is so bad, all my friends who used soap i converted and they couldnt believe the difference it made and would never use soap again,
i agree.. soap strips away the skin's natural oils, leaving it dry and more prone to eary aging..
i use the 'academie hypo-sensible facial gel' to wash my face, it's just a gel so u wash ur face with it exactly like ur using liquid soap, no messing around with cotton wool and stuff. it's a french product though, don't know if u get the brand in the US
Depends on what type of "soap" you use...I happen to use "goats milk soap with oatmeal" on my face..because i didn't find that the face washes took off my makeup well enough...(I also use this soap on my skin) I've also heard "glycerin" soap is good to wash with...
BTW...I think Sweetcherry bears a resemblance to Jennifer Lopez and perhaps if she looked at magazines with JLo in them she may get some ideas for makeup techniques...
There is nothing that can make us appear younger, however expensive it may be, besides cosmetic surgery of course. Talk to a dermatologist, I am fortunate, according to mine, that I have an oily skin which prevents, no, delays wrinkles and I have been told that retinol is the only component which can make a noticeable difference, but in much larger amounts than is in all of the creams sold today.
All I can advise, and this is from a personal point of view, is that soap and water dries the skin and a soapless, facewash rinsed off with water is preferable.
Always cleanse your face before going to bed and drink lots of water. Don't overdo it, you don't want to shock your partner when he wakes up and sees a totally different person lying beside him!
