If you could prevent either an earthquake that would kill 40,000 people, a plane crash that would kill 200 people, or a car accident that would kill a friend of yours, which would you choose?

I have exempted myself from replying! devil

If a good friend, then yes. Would you not expect him or her to do the same and save so many lives?

Jan Jan.. You may need to change your diet . You may be missing sleep . Something is causing you stressful thoughts . Or perhaps it is the thought of finding a new partner which is causing all this trouble .. Ahha I found it .. You are thinking of a superman coming to your rescue .. He would be the only person able of saving the friend first and stopping the other events at the same time

Okay, now I have to be very practical here.... so I would totally ignore the 40,000 and the 200, for the simple reason that the earth is running out of food and water, and we need less humans... they just require too much sustenance, and they damage everything they touch. Not that the 40200 would make any more room for animals, but it would help a little bit. So I would go for the friend in the car.

If you can prevent an earthquake, then you can do anything and that means you can also land the plane safely and save your friend as well...but as smoky said, since we are all earthly beings (not considering the fact that the ladies in here are celestial bodieswink ), then I would try to save my friend and hopefully myself too.

I would go for the earthquake! The others always have a chance of not happening anyway but you cant prevent earthquakes only minimise the damage.

The numbers speak for themselves.

Ok another...

Before you are 10 pistols, only one of which is loaded. For 1 million euros, or the equivalent currency of your country, would you pick up one of the pistols, point it to your head and press the trigger?

If you survive, you keep the money!

yes, I would, as long as I was guaranteed to die if I picked the wrong weapon. Because then, it would make no difference if I was right or wrong!

£1million is an awful lot of empty bellies that could be filled, for the gamble of one exceptionally full belly!grin
