I can answer that for myself. When I'm in a thread, if someone says something prolific or has a nasty attitude I look at their profile to get an idea of what they are all about. When someone is nasty in a thread they usually have written a heart warming profile to attract women. It gives me a better idea of who they are in the thread vs. who they are when looking for a relationship. I will show up on their WVM but I don't have any interest in them.
My WVM has guys who have probably done the same thing with my profile. They're just curious of who I am..

I can only speak for myself here, but I've viewed...I don't know...maybe a hundred profiles?...and of those viewings maybe two had anything remotely resembling a romantic interest for me. Of course, it's always possible you might find something that could generate that kind of interest when viewing a profile. My favorite profile - one that generated tons of interest! - involved a very ballsy handle that remains my favorite to this day.
