I think if someone lies about something, no matter how minor it is (although i don't think in this case it is minor) it makes you wonder why else they are lying about. Its never a good start to a date when someone tells you they have lied about something.
I don't see the point in lying. Thats just dating under false pretences and you always get found out eventually.
