Depends on the context really. I'm sure it's OK to say you hate the fact their is famine, disease, poverty and heartache in the world.

I think most people confuse hate and anger. Think of the energy involved in being absolutely and totally in love with someone.........and then turn it inside out. I think finding a hate that engulfs you is as unusual as finding a love that engulfs you. Opposite sides of the same coin.
I hate lots of people. It's as natural an emotion as love. If you hate passionately you'll love passionately.

hate says more about the person doing the hating ...than the object or person its directed towards..
for me personally hate means it can get to u...so i try not to feel that emotion at all..
disinterest, indifference and mildly amused at something that has no place in my life would be how i replace it..of course depending on what it is.
