BebeII: Maybe he just lives for America? I do have to wonder about some non- American's obsession with our country. Could you imagine a group of us devoting our time and resources to, say, re-establishing the death penalty in Europe and what the response would be? Yet, if one read's the Guardian, Roto-Reuter's and the BBC, there are scads of individuals chattering on about our domestic 'bits'. Foriegn policy, I can understand, mind you.
I f he were living for America,but he is supporting every Measure of Obama that presently is making the US third Rate,and eventually destroying it! That Dude is NO Friend of America!
BebeII: Where did I claim that Greeks were muslim? Do post it so I can show you to be the liar you are.....
Your thread ,"Greece abandons Sharia Law" misinformed forum readers,thinking Muslim religion is dominant in Greece.Am sure when you post your thread,you thought Greece is a muslim country.

This is in NO WAY referring to Greece being Muslim. She doesn't say it is dominant religion. Where are your reading from?
patmac: Nah why spoil our fun......It is a laugh watching folk rant about the Bible and Anti Christian points and trying to latch these points to your constitution...Like the OP in this very thread......Politics has nothing to do with the Bible and even less with Chritianity....I am sure your constitution says that MAN IS FREE TO WORSHIP AS HE WANTS .....ALSO TO VOTE AND HAVE HIS OWN POLITICS.....
That is of course unless you are a communist or a follower of Islam ....
For the record, most Christians support a secular government, but not a secular society, and these are two very different things.

Chris, if you can read minds, I have a job for you.... I am well aware that Greece is majority Orthodox Christian. I posted it because as other countries are considering adopting parts of Sharia law, Greece is going the other way, and I thought it might be of interest to some to know this. Just because I don't know my Dutch from a Danish doesn't make me wholly ignorant. No biggie.
Frankinstien: I guess I must be wrong . I could have sworn that the constitution provided for a Supreme court. I also thought that it was a seperate entity from the Legislative and the Executive branches . I also thought that it's decisions where law untill constitutional amendments over ruled there desisions .Or did they change it and not tell anyone .
It's interesting that with 3 equal branches of government, the Supreme Court somehow supercedes the other branches.
Conrad73: only since Supreme Court has started to Legislate and rewrite the Constitution!
Conrad, I think you have been out of the country too long . The Supreme Court upholds the constitution not make amendments to it . That is the job of Congress . I think you should download a copy and read it . It just might clear up some misgivings about it .

I guess you never heard of the term "legislating from the bench".... All courts do it to varying degree{including the High Court}

Court has made Decisions which are actually the Exclusive Domain of the Legislative Branch!

Call it whatever you like . That's there job ! The courts are there to uphold or strike down laws that are either costatutional ( let stand ) or uncostitutional ( what you call legislate ) . Christ ! Did any of you ever read the conctitution or even have an Idea of what it means ? ?? ? ?

Article 1 sets forth the power of Congress, and section 8 states that Congress shall have the power to make laws . The Supreme court does not have the power to make laws . The supreme court ( or any other court ) has the power to rule laws constitutional or unconstitutional . Like I said, read the constitution and you will see the division and the specific purpose of the document .
