Okay, here is my itinary so far.... I can only vacate CH next July for about 2 weeks. All depends on exactly when the parents of my grandchildren take their leave, to take over my childcare duties here. So I would go to Malta, and then to Dubai to visit my other son who lives there. Or to Dubai and then Malta.
How long you all planning on staying at Malta? 2 or 3 days? or longer?
What are hotel prices like there?
Visa problems? or should I say Visa availability?

I've been to France, Sweden, Austria, Holland, Italy, Greece, Germany and Italy...just to explain and with no disrespect to anyone on here ok...please..I repeat..no disrespect....as regards hotel categories, a 5-star hotel in the countries I mentioned would qualify as a 4-star hotel here in Malta. Just for you to have an idea of the quality. Just be careful though from 2-star and lower category hotels. Also there are furnished flats for short lets.

visa the only visa you need is the plastic one you can spend malta is in the eu
we still have the maltese lira, but lots of places takes euro.
they will want to know what it costs to stay or say 1 week what dates etc etc all the gen i really like this idea ...
