Demonstrators have demanded the closing of the US Embassy in Jordan over Wikileaks cables suggesting covert US plans to turn Jordan into a home for Palestinians.
It was a rare anti-American demonstration in Jordan, a close ally of US.
The 70 activists burned American and Israeli flags in a noisy protest opposite the embassy in Amman on Wednesday.
Protesters burn US, Israeli flags. They chanted, "The people want the Americans out."
Roughly half of the country's 6 million population is of Palestinian origin. With Palestinian-Israeli peace talks stalled, some Jordanians fear Israel may try to deport Palestinians to Jordan.
Earlier this week it was reported that Jordanians are planning a "million-man protest" near the Israeli embassy in Amman to take place on Thursday.
Organizers have already announced that the protesters will try to break through the fortified embassy building and take down the Israeli flag.
This week Jordan's King Abdullah II spoke out strongly against using Jordan as a substitute for a Palestinian state, a concept favored by an extremist minority among Israelis.

I am bringing this thread up again, but I have no comment on it and I want someone else to comment before this thread falls further down the list. It is strange that someone wants this commented on by others but has no comments themselves to make.

Haha, and she has done the same "bump" comment on the Turkey and Cairo thread. Perhaps she wants to learn more.

I don`t think that is strange at all if you take the time to read her linked video....A good interesting thread does not take constant yapping by the original poster. Some opening posters seem to think that they need to interject in everything said.
Gee Paldi/Silverbirch....or Silverbrich/Paldi...only 13 responses. No one is biting. Maybe you over played the hand and made people bored with the Palestine issue.
I'm so happy to see the world finally waking up to the plight of the Palestinians and putting some real pressure on Israel to start abandoning her evil ways. However I'm not optimistic that it can be accomplished without force. It seems that's the only thing the Israeli zionists understand.

You're welcome. I agree, the whole situation is extremely complicated - so many facts to absorb - but the main premise is simple. The arabs and Israelis will be at peace when the arabs erase their official Charter to destroy all the Jews. Until then there won't be peace.
As Golda Meir once said:
We will have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us

As opposed to the evil ways of her foes who wish to murder every last one of them.

And, seems to e the only tactic her enemies employ. Unfortunately for them, Israel is very good at it and, it is doubtful that there is any superior force on earth that would dare, or, be willing to engage her.
