I agree but I cannot seem to get out of working crying We work mandatory over time. I have not had a fourty hour week in over a year. They let me go home after eight hours yesterday and then told me they were letting me leave early. Eight hours is a working day dunno But I think alot about life being to short for it to be all work. blues Maybe that can be the start of my bucket list. Figure a way not to have to work so much yay

I dream of one day going into fulltime RVing, and when I do I'll have to swing by Las Vegas to see Amolata (hope I spelled that right). Be Las Vegas is a big place, so how would I find her?

I would love to do many things before I cop it, but a few that spring to mind are:

Going to Alaska to see the whales up close
Going for a swim with some dolphins
Seeing Ayres Rock
Passing my motorcycle test
Getting into a size zero laugh (Not really)..
Going to NZ to see the sets of Lord of The Rings

Plus, many more..

Happygolucky4u: There are four states in the U.S. where they can do that. And lucky me Florida is one. If you do not work the overtime and get fired you cannot draw unemployment and I think that might just be in the state of Florida about the unemployment. I get time and a half for my hours over fourty. But I basically have no life. For a ten hour day I get a twenty five minute lunch and a fifteen minute break. It is a physical labor job you have to be able to lift a hundred pounds easy. So that tells you what kind of labor. Sorry I think I just got carried away

Sorry earthangel

WoW! must be some business you work for to get fired if you don't work overtime that sucks, how stressful is your job. I didn't think companys could fire you like that do you belong to a union cause you would have workplace rights.

Don't you ever go away for holidays, everyone needs time out keeps us all sane. Work shouldn't be dominating your life, now your bucket list >>>>>> holidays save go have fun in the sun dance bartender buddies drink pouring gotta go cartwheel banana yay Only here once can't turn back the clock grin thumbs up

Florida is a right to work state. Which means I have no rights. They do not even have to have a reason to fire you. We do have paid holiday time. I try not to stress about work. I work with mostly younger people and they have it much harder than me. When they get home they have their young children to tend to. Big corporations here go out of their way to keep unions out. I think the sad part is is that they could hire a few more workers but because of the economy they are scared to. That would relieve us of some of the overtime. And in my area people are begging for work. When I went to work there a few years ago they told me this was my new home and they were my family. I just didn't know exactly what they meant. laugh I am gratefull for a job. Just at my age the physical part gets dificult. But I have managed to hang in there quite sometime. I have out lasted many a youngster. We are also on a work quota system. We have to have a certain amount of work done or it want be pretty. uh oh I do think this year 2012 I am going to go somewhere nice for vacation. Maybe it will make my overtime look better because that is how I am going. yay
