Well said - although rumour has it that Toughers Restaurant pulled off the whole loaves and fishes thing when they had 2 coach loads of lost Tipp fans pull in.

Millieh24: Well it should be brought in for some cases ... not everyone is the same jimbo ......

What 'cases' Mill... where does one draw the line?

That's a bit like the line in Animal Farm... "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others"

ok we agree not everyone is the same, so by that logic this couple should be allowed to refuse blood for their baby, so explain your outrage

Well once the baby is born it should be allowed to live no matter the consequences the baby could grow to live a long healty life !!!

Why refuse blood ?? i think theyll regret it later they might not have a second chance of another baby again ....

so how are we to decide what reasons are good enough and what arent in both cases, are we to be selective in who we let choose and what we let them choose, you say you wouldn't do it yourself but it's ok for others why does the same not apply for this couple

Godsgift: But these people believe that death is not the worst thing that can happen to a person. If you come at this from a position of absolute certainty of an afterlife and that your God does not wish you to have blood products, then you are simply following the will of that God and going home to blissful eternity.

It wouldn't be my stance and I wouldn't be that strong in faith but I can see where these people are coming from.

Well, I believe that all religion is man made and therefore subject to fault.

Oh I agree and it's a bit like playing Russian roulette that there is a soul and something better waits beyond this. But I wouldn't see these people as uncaring monsters for having different priorities though. It's the sort of opposite side of the euthanasia argument. Some people think euthanasia is at best suicide damning your soul to hell and at worst murder where someone should be prosecuted. conversing

Well allowing the chips to fall where they may instead of doing what common sense would dictate is a bit like playing God to me. If I had a child I would do anything to keep them safe and well. JMO

Again I agree but some people believe the next life to me more important than this one which is why I said to come at it from their viewpoint. After all, many people are prepared to die for causes and countries.
