having served in the British Royal Air Force I attended a rememberance service on sunday, like many other men and women ex and currently in the armed forces i swore to always serve and protect queen and country and all
those who live under the union jack flag and to protect and preserve freedom for all where-ever they may be in the world at whatever cost necessary which i was proud and happy to do at whatever cost but i must admit after the service on sunday i said to a friend i have never liked the anthem god save the queen i feel the anthem for england should be
land of hope and glory or rule brittania, just wondering how many of you like your counrtys anthems or would you change it.

I think our Anthem is great. Its difficult to learn though.

Well, i dont know about an anthem for England,as many Scots,Welsh and Irish fought or died during the various conflicts.

you are right mate but ireland, scotland and wales do have a national anthem but me being english i dont like our anthem and i would change it to possibly land of hope and glory.

Craig that is what the use when England wins events in the Commonwealth Games.....
As for "God save the Queen" well it has a verse that is not to nice to us Jocks....LOL....
I do like land of gope and glory though.

I do like ours "O Canada" but often thought we should have used "The Maple Leaf Forever" as our anthem.

hi mate, for me land of hope and glory is the one because a national anthem should be about the country and not a person like god save the queen.
