cooking a chook, help.... (60)

Dec 18, 2011 11:45 PM CST cooking a chook, help....
Friend just dropped in a fairly big (dead) chicken, which I’m trying to cook using Microwave + Convention cooking in a 900W microwave/convention oven.

Have put the chicken in a glad oven bag, added half cup water with ginger, garlic, mixed herbs, chilly power, salt and pepper, the glad-bag said to cook chicken at 180º max, to put bit water, tie and poke few holes in top near the tie.

Have got microwave + convention set for two and half hours, please are there any experts online that offer any advice? Still has two hours four minutes to go any suggestions welcome…

Wack it in the real oven can't go past a roast in the conventional oven delish , micowaves are only good for heat bags.

I cook chooks for about 20 mins per kg in the microwave. So if its a big chook its probably about say 2kgs so ld check to see if it was cooked after 45 mins to be on the safe side.
