bodleing: I know you did CO, I was following the thread, might have even posted on it.
But as they said, the ban feature is here to stay and I personally think it's a good feature when used properly. Even when it's abused it's no big deal, there are plenty of other threads we can move onto, anyway, who wants to be where they're not wanted?
Ah, but my question on that thread, had nothing to do with the ban feature. It was about the term 'pack attack'. No different to the clique threads that appear occasionally. Why they posted about the ban function, I don't know. Maybe it would make sense if they read the threads before actioning on them?

yep,the feature is pretty good, but some use it to ban people they don't like,on principle! They would be better off to Post a Blog, and disallow all Comments!
Funnily enough, that was actually a legitimate question, with some good answers on it. I was curious as to what people's take on the term was. The only answer left, doesn't answer the question at all. Shame really, as the least they could have done, was post their opinion on it, but instead chose to just use the usual post they make, which has no bearing whatsoever on the topic. Should I have hidden their post and banned them?
I just read your thread and their answer. Wonder if you could have hidden it?

That is very good advice. Pinhead are you reading this? Go write a blog or two.
crazyblondeone: Who has gotten banned from a thread when all they've done is post their opinion and it wasn't something the OP liked?
Or who's been banned just because the OP doesn't like them?
I find it very cowardly for an OP to ban someone after the OP has just told them off. They are not allowed to defend themselves and are banned. That's not the idea of the banning!
You can voice your opinions here about being banned from threads. Just don't post any names or we will all be banned and sent to our tents!!

I´ve been banned from a thread about "nice guys". Sniff, sniff!
The guy has also hidden my posts and the most fantastic post I´ve ever read on this site that was written by a lady from Canada (my deepest respect to you, lady!). I agree 100% with every single word that she said about self proclaimed "nice guys".
I know that he´s reading this cause he´s still stalking me around this site.
Useless to hide posts and ban people from your thread, man. It just shows the kind of man that you are! Keep playing the victim, painting yourself like a "nice guy" and blaming all women when something goes wrong in your life. Good luck!

Also been banned, by someone who says he only bans trolls and trouble makers. Ah! well it takes all types to make a forum.

I've been banned from some threads. No big deal. In most cases it says more about the OP than the person being banned. And I think most people realize that.

Sorry you having that problems,,The Forums do get very crazy sometimes...I just feel sad when you are sad..
equiya: Yes I got banned from that stupid VISA thread and all I did was to express my views and ask questions on things I didn't understand from the OP. It was not clear if the OP was talking about VISA credit card or an immigration visa. What does it mean to say that British and American women love visa than their men?????
Equiya.. don't even worry about it. He completely misread my comment and thanked me. I don't even know why . Clearly that person's English is not good.
