lou460: OK a guy I've been dating a few weeks started kidding me about blindfolds and ropes... I punched him in the arm and excused myself to the ladies room! But I'm seeing him tomorrow night. What should I wear?
Well since you two are going out to dinner ...and probably some "fun" after, here are a few suggestions what to wear
Wonder woman or Princess Leia...under no circumstances dress like Wookie or Jabba the Hutt .

Should things like ropes (for those into that sort of thing) not be kept for when real trust is established ... so you know you´ll be safe?
Is there not a difference between courting with danger and courting with surrender?

Really! For the life of me I'll never understand why people choose rope when chain is much safer.

It's a puzzle wrapped up in an enigma, covered in ... wonder. Besides, once tied up, you're way past surrender.
Shouldn´t that be an experience lived with someone you know and trust?
Speaking for others isn't wise but my best answer would be ... For some people yes, for others no. There's a significant disparity me thinks in what you're calling trust when the more fitting word might be fear. What I call trust probably isn't what you would call trust.
In any event the real issue at hand is one of fear, not necessarily trust as you might define it.
EagleWoman: Or is the thrill or the unknown dangerous element, through not knowing the person well, part of the excitement?
I think those two would be two completely differente experiences.
The first experience could unfold within the energy of love. The second smacks (hahaha) of lack of self-love and caring.
you and I have completely different subjective and objective definitions of love. you're right two diff experiences but the results you propose are not necessarily so because of that different view of what love and trust are.

Thank george burns we're not all the same.
Your post makes total sense.
There´s a difference between fear and being aware there are nutters out there!!!
Being caring to oneself includes NOT putting one´s "wellbeing" in the hands of someone undeserving of it.
