Hats off to anyone that beats the addiction and I mean that sincerely but I wouldn't think they should go back into the environment where others are using.

I might have been reluctant to moving fast, but if I liked him enough, I'd probably convince myself this time he'd be all different.

Now, dating a recovering alcoholic is somewhere in the middle of that. ;)
BTW, bunch of alco's in my family.. most were not close enough to do me any harm, thankfully, and more than a few ex's had problems with drink and other substances, so I'm kind of biased.
On the last point: So very true. Plenty of women try to change the leopard's spots.

they drink more and more and eventually become addicted! More and more as in days! Lots of people argued with me one night that druggies have only themselves to blame when become addicts, wud u agree? You're right there. Addictions like gambling and gossiping prove that addiction is more about behaviour patterns.
