That is ridicules, why?

The whole theory of posting is to give your opinion an a subject matter!

Why would you just walk away? Because some might disagree with your point

If you want an example of high jacking look at other threads here there are real examples everywhere.

I am absolutely POSITIVE that there will be others here who will without doubt agree with your point of view.

Don't take it so personal, because it rarely is!

Kind Regards sad flower

galrads: You just don't get it. You debate like you play word games on CS. you either don't know how, or you don't know the rules. For some reason, you're always rewriting history too.

Do you ever wonder about why most everyone else leaves an intentionally good debate when you post in it. It's because you're a thread-jacking and know it all self centered have to always be right kind of person.

I give up.

Be happy.... This is your thread now. Mold it to whatever subject you want!

Bye.

Can't see your problem. As you tried to put the blame on Europe for a Syrian problem ...This fast became a world problem and the UN could not agree due to the attitude of Russia and China. You the ask what Europs is going to do aout Russia and China...It is clear the world in the form of the UN has to deal with the problem.

My solution was to get the Arabs do deal with it themselves..They have the power and the hardware. But not of course the organisation and experience of the West...So why not an Arab force UN led...? Then the Russians and Chinese objection is moot.

I t seems clear you want Europe to carry the blame for the Russain and Chinese attitude...Tht is wrong the Russians and Chinese do not want anyone causing a power vacuum in Syria that they believe the USA will use to advance their status in the area...Pretty clear and it could be negated if we let the Arabs through the Turks police themselves.grin cheers

Why should Europe intervene in the civil war? Apart from receiving the refugees from the conflict and the disruption to trade. If NATO intervenes, it could antagonise Russia. Why was Georgia left to fend for itself despite the President's pleas for help? No-one wanted a protracted conflict with Russia. The Non Government Aid Organizations will lobby various governments for intervention, but the professional west-haters and cultural cringers will attempt to shout them down. It is a UN problem and while the security council remains divided on the issue, nothing will happen.

As Pat said, it is an Arab problem and the Arab League should provide the solution.

read a good bit - not 100% of this topic. much I agree with - much not surprised as yet another accusation that it is our responsibility to stop arms trade...it's not our responsibility to do anything. it might be nice for europe to do something just because it's their turn

I get so sick of people criticizing the US and then asking when we are gong to "do" something....poppycock. maybe we're tired of sending our sons and daughters half way around the world while you all watch the alps in bloom.....

it's time the US resolve some things at home and let the rest of you folks help - that philosophy worked so well in 1941laugh

Read the title of the thread Felix....It is in no way a go at the USA, far from it. It is someone who does not understand the European political system thinking that Europe has to solve what is actually a UN problem, Russia and China vetoed the UN suggestions. Europe is not and has never had a vote as an entity in the UN....The big 5 have the veto and Russia and China chose to use theirs, so how does that make it a European problem ???

It is in fact a Syrian problem and it is their own country. What right doe Europe have to interfere ?

None. Unless it is on humanitarian grounds to ease the suffering of the Syrians....But who do they side with ? The numerous different rebel factions?? The government ??? Or neither ?

Syria is of course an Arab nation and member of the Arab league. So why can't for once the Arabs sort out their own ???

So many different factions are fighting and the Arab league is of course made up of all of these factions. So which one would they support???

Time the Arabs sorted out their own political problems and stopped relying on the UN/USA/UK and others to do it for them...Even when we do help we always become the bad guys as there is always a faction be it Sunni,Shi-ite or any other group who gets its nose put out of joint .....Time we let the Arabs sort themselves out....We should just refuse to arm any faction and close the borders and let Syria sort itself out...Unless of course the Arab League stopped infighting and took control....No chance of that.

It costs the west so many lives and so much money sorting out Arab/Islamic nonesense for the past 50 years..

Time they looked at sorting out their own problems.grin cheers

I have yet to come across a people (Nation) with more of a chip on their shoulders than some of the US posters here....

With respect may I suggest you read FULLY the OP comments before making comments, then the rest of us DO NOT have to suffer from your own special brand of self persecution complex and snotty remarks..
