I have to agree although would you resign if you were on big money and were a year into a three year contract? Delaney should resign along with him in my opinion but there is probably more chance of me winning the lotto than either of them going of their own accord.

Ridiculous post, we failed in the Euros, everyone knows that, but would have called for his resignation after we qualified?? NO!!

He deserves the chance to put things right, most of the older lads in the squad now won't be around for the World Cup qualifiers so i'm looking forward to seeing who he brings in and what happens...you have to realize that the players underperformed aswell..Keane, McGeady, Whelan, O'Shea were all terrible and let the manager down!!

What has all that got to with Trapatonnis resignation that you're calling for?? in 2002 we were rated 6th in the world at one point!! Where were we seeded when we started this qualifying campaign??

We haven't got the players to compete at this level, it's as simple as that, i've made all the points in my last post you you just ignored them so i'm not gonna type them again!![/quot
just making the point that ireland couldve won the world cup in 90,or the euros in 88.we were good enuf.
we were seeded 18 at the start of the euros.
i know were not good enuf, and we were only there because we got estonia in play offs.just wondering wats the point been the whipping boys.

skyblue43: I think thats the criticsm in itself...you mention players without clubs, in the championship and not getting onto their club side yet Pilkington, Wilson, Coleman, McCarthy (who I think would have travelled if he thought he might actually get on the pitch), Best (who gave the Italian defence a terrible time in Bari), Hoolahan, Clarke...were not there...

thats exactly my point.he left a better team at home

It wouldn't be the case that a lot of lads wouldn't want to play for the FAI.... err, I mean Oirland?
